Born in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 24, 1993, she is the daughter of Wellington “Megaton” Dias, a renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. Dern followed her father’s path and became a BJJ world champion, achieving the rank of black belt at a young age. She transitioned to MMA in 2016 and has since made a name for herself in the UFC, with her grappling skills being a standout in the strawweight division. As of 2024, she is one of the top-ranked fighters in her division.
