Sydney Leroux is a Canadian-American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Angel City FC in the NWSL. Born on May 7, 1990, in Surrey, British Columbia, Leroux began her soccer journey in Canada before moving to the United States to pursue greater opportunities. She attended UCLA, where she was a standout player, leading the team in scoring for three consecutive seasons. She is also a World Cup champion, having been part of the U.S. Women’s National Team that won the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015.

Sydney Leroux was previously married to fellow soccer player Dom Dwyer, with whom she has two children, Cassius and Roux. The couple divorced in 2021. As of late 2023, Leroux has been rumored to be in a new relationship, although she has not publicly confirmed the identity of her new partner.
Trivia
Leroux has dual citizenship with Canada and the United States, but she chose to represent the U.S. at the international level. Leroux was part of the U.S. Women’s National Team that won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
